CONDITIONAL SENTENCES
            Conditional tenses are used to speculate about what could happen, what might have happened, and what we wish would happen.
Type 1 Conditional (probable/possible/like condition)
            The tipe 1 conditional is used to refer to the present or future where the situation is real. The type 1 conditional refers to a possible condition and its probable result. In these sentences the if clause is in the simple present, and the main clause is in the simple future.
If clause                                              Main clause

If this thing happens                           that thing will happen
Example :
1.  if you eat that you will be ill
2. if it rains I won't go to town
3. he may come if you call him
4. If I know the answer I will tell you
5. if you work hard, you will pass
6. if he goes early, he will meet her

Type 2 Conditional (Unlikely/Improbable/ Imaginary Conditional)
            The type 2 conditional is used to refer to a time that is now or anytime, and a situation that is unreal. These sentences are not based on fact. The type 2 conditional is used to refer to a hypothetical condition and its probable result. In type 2 conditional sentences, the if clause use the simple past, and the main clause uses the present conditional.

If the thing happened                          that thing would happen or that thing would be happening
Example :
1. If I knew the answer, I would tell you
2. If I had the money, I would buy a car
3. If we started now we could be in time
4. I shouldn't do that if I were you
5. If I were a bird, I would fly

Type 3 conditional ( unfulfilled/impossible condition
            The type 3 conditional is used to refer to a time that is in the past, and a situation that is contrary to reality. The facts they are based on are the opposite of what is expressed.The type 3 conditional is used to refer to an unreal condition and its probable past result. In type 3 conditional sentences, the if clause use the past perfect, and the main clause uses the perfect conditional.

Example :
1. If I had known the answer, I would have told you
2. If he had worked hard, he would have passedthe examination
3. If I had telephoned her, she would have come
4. we could have caught the train if we had taken a taxi
5. if he had been a graduated, he would have got the job.
